The European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA), the leading international organisation of the Power Transmission and Motion Control (PT/MC) Industry will add company visits for its members and convention delegates at its 2010 convention in Malta. The company visits will be organised in strategic partnership with Malta Enterprise, aimed at creating additional tangible benefits for the association’s members.
“We are delighted to have teamed up with a leading organization like EPTDA to support the 2010 event in Malta. Through our collaboration, we are creating more awareness about Malta’s prolific business environment while at the same assisting the EPTDA in continuing in its mission” says Mr Alan Camilleri, Executive Chairman of Malta Enterprise and Malta Industrial Parks.
“Although many of EPTDA members might not be familiar with the economic activity on our island, Malta boasts many achievements across numerous sectors including pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, electronics, maritime products, yacht services, biomedical equipment and aircraft maintenance amongst others. The planned company visits will help to reinforce the strengths of Malta as a business location both in terms of investment as well as for trade. Therefore, we do encourage all EPTDA members to participate so they can experience first-hand how Malta can work for them” adds Mr Camilleri.
From 29 September to 1 October 2010, EPTDA will welcome close to 300 business owners, CEOs, Managing Directors and other key decision makers of the PT/MC industry at Hilton Malta as well as acclaimed international gurus and economists as its keynote and seminar speakers. The company visits have been based on on the criteria such as specific field of interest of delegates/delegates’ businesses and direct or indirect connection with the Power Transmission & Motion Control Industry. An interesting and varied social programme is also planned for accompanying partners and spouses.
“EPTDA’s Annual Conventions are the one and only executive meeting platform for decision makers of the PT/MC Industry. Our collaboration with Malta Enterprise has helped us to add another valuable benefit for our loyal members, who will now also get insight into the way new Europe is shaping up and doing businesses with fast-developing business hubs like Malta,” commented Hans Hanegreefs, Executive Vice President, EPTDA.
“It is not often that a non-profit organisation creates joint-initiatives like this with the business community to create new venues for increased business opportunities” adds Mr Hanegreefs. “In testing times like today, when companies are looking at shifting business models and new methods of gaining market share, we want to play a leading role in bringing these opportunities right into the hands of our members.”
Mr Hanegfreefs added that EPTDA also takes prides in solid responsible business policies. As a vital part of its ethical policy and charity activities, in 2010, EPTDA will raise funds for the Maltese based Puttinu Cares Foundation in its commitment to supporting the welfare of society.
