A set of incentives under the Malta Enterprise Act have been designed to help enterprises, large or small, meet the challenges of a global economy through varoius measures including internationalisation, networking and business development. The Enterprise Support Incentives cover:
- Trade Promotion - support enterprises in capacity building, establishing business contacts overseas and consolidating their existing market share through the participation in trade fairs and trade missions.
- Business Advisory Services - designed to provide enterprises with customised individual consultancy services that suit their particular requirements.
- Network Support: Business & Development Networks - promoting the development of networks as a mechanism for facilitating collaboration between enterprises to enhance competitiveness.
- ERDF International Competitiveness - to support SMEs committed to establish a new market or to introduce a new service of product in an existing market.

Gateway to Export
Further to these incentives, Malta Enterprise has devised a programme to encourage and assist Micro & Small Enterprises to assist them in their exporting efforts through an assessment and skills based programme, as well as assisting participating companies in drawing up a Preparation and Implementation Plan for Export.
