1.0 Privacy Policy
Malta Enterprise Corporation (hereafter also referred to as "Malta Enterprise ", "us", "we", "our") is committed to protecting our visitors' privacy and we will not collect any personal information about you as a visitor unless you provide it voluntarily. Any personal information you communicate to us is kept within our own records in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2001.
2.0 The Data Protection Act, Cap 440 of the Laws of Malta
The Data Protection Act protects the privacy of individuals. We therefore consider that we have a legal duty to respect and protect any personal information we collect from you and we will abide by such duty. We take all safeguards necessary to prevent unauthorised access and we do not pass on your details collected from you as a visitor, to any third party unless you give us your consent to do so.

Malta Enterprise uses data provided by registered members to:-
- Register in one of the directories/databases: Malta Enterprise sends direct communications via email from time to time to registered members of Made in Malta Business Directory, ICT Business Directory, IRC Malta, Malta Regional Innovation Strategy (MARIS), Business Technology Network, Innovation Malta Online Forum, Kordin Business Innovation Centre and Nissos project regarding training events, seminars to be held and other useful information. Members may deregister from receiving such information, at any time, by logging into Malta Enterprise and unticking the box next to the ‘Opt-Out’ clause.
- Act within legal norms and as means of security: It may be necessary, if required by law or if pertinent to judicial authorities or criminal investigations, to release members' personal information. Malta Enterprise may also use members' details to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful activity or any activity that threatens the network or otherwise violates the user agreement for that service.
If you provide us with your email address, we will treat it just as securely as other personal information. We will not send you unsolicited email messages or junk mail.
Malta Enterprise registered members may also access their stored personal information as originally submitted in the various directories/databases and update/amend such information whenever they like. Should a member want to deregister from any database or directory, he/she may formally request Malta Enterprise, in writing, to remove his/her personal details from any of Malta Enterprise systems. Malta Enterprise is further committed to abide to that member's request .
Malta Enterprise recognises that its customers are increasingly concerned about how companies protect personal information from misuse and abuse and about privacy in general. Malta Enterprise is constantly reviewing and enhancing its technical, physical and managerial procedures so as to ensure that the customers' personal data is protected from unauthorised access, accidental loss and/or destruction. Moreover, Malta Enterprise ensures that data about its registered members is not kept for a period longer than necessary.
3.2 Download Information
If you read or download information from our site, we automatically collect and store the following non-personal information:
- The requested web page or download;
- Whether the request was successful or not;
- The date and time when you accessed the site;
- The Internet address of the web site or the domain name of the computer from which you accessed the site;
- The operating system of the machine running your web browser and the type and version of your web browser.
This procedure does not personally identify members. This information is collected through "traffic data" and may entail the use of "IP addresses" and other numeric codes used to identify a computer. This information may be helpful for statistical purposes and data analysis with an aim at improving and better meeting members' needs.
