Investment opportunities in Malta for Omani and Qatari businesses were highlighted during a joint investment, trade and business delegation co-organized by Malta Enterprise and Trade Malta to the two Middle Eastern countries between February 25 and March 3.
Business fora outlining the investment climate in Malta followed by business to business meetings between the Maltese delegates and their counterparts in Oman were held at Bank Muscat and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while similar events were held at the Qatari Businessmen Association and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry once the delegation moved to the latter country.
During the various events, Malta Enterprise Chief Operations Officer Marika Tonna - who led the delegation - spoke about the excellent relations between Malta and the two countries and noted that the visit was building up on previous business delegations to the region. She also expressed her hope that the meetings would lead to strengthened investment and trade relations.
The business delegation, which was also supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, comprised delegates operating in various sectors, including manufacturing, ICT, education and training, banking and financial services, construction, and consultancy.
