Malta formally accepted participation at Expo 2020 Dubai with the signing of the participation contract on November 26, 2018. The contract was signed by Mr Anthony P. Tabone, Commissioner General for Malta at Expo 2020 Dubai, during the annual International Participants Meeting (IPM) that was held in Dubai and which brings together country representatives from all over the globe.
The Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses Dr Chris Cardona also attended the IPM, which focused on diverse topics such as the development of the Expo site, pavilion design and content, and operations plans. A visit to the Expo site was also organised so that delegates could visualise better the status of the development.
Malta’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai is being coordinated by Malta Enterprise under the auspices of the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses. Expo 2020 Dubai will be held from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021.
