Minister Chris Cardona, accompanied by Dr. Mario Vella Executive Chairman of Malta Enterprise and Mr Cain Grech, Manager Policy and Administration at Business First visited Idroplast Ltd. and D-Square Ltd., two companies that in the last two years have been successful and benefited from assistance offered by Malta Enterprise and Business First.
Minister Cardona reiterated Government’s commitment towards a pro-business strategy and this is confirmed through the new incentive schemes announced in this year’s budget. These schemes will continue to add value to the currently incentives including MicroInvest, Investment Aid, Research & Development and Certify.
The Minister encouraged companies and people interested to start their own business to get in touch with Business First to see what assistance is available for them.
Idroplast Ltd manufactures plastic products, agricultural and industrial netting, rubber moulds and also crushes and regrinds plastic scrap. The company currently employs 9 full time works and has invested Euro 300,000 in the last two years.
D-Square Limited is engaged in plastic injection moulding and complimentary services of decoration such as hot foil stamping and pad printing, together with assembly operations. The company employs 22 full time employees.
