The European Commission (EC) has recently issued the first draft of the European sustainability reporting standards (ESRS) delegated act for public consultation.
This act supplements the Accounting Directive as amended by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, which requires large and also listed companies to publish regular reports on the social and environmental risks they face, and how their activities impact people and the environment.
Please find the link to the EC’s Have Your Say Portal, where you can find the proposed final version of the ESRS delegated act and a short description of the changes compared to the EFRAG draft (see Draft Delegated Act). The impacted companies are required to provide feedback by Friday 7 July 2023.
