Cancellation of ERDF Solar Energy Grant Scheme 2013

Malta Enterprise has decided to cancel the Solar Energy Grant Scheme 2013 due to technical problems encountered in the process of pre-selection of suppliers.

This decision was reached after consultations with the Managing Authority of the European Regional Development Fund, the findings of the Appeals Committee and a thorough consideration of the various options available.

U.S. Franchise Opportunities Available for Maltese Entrepreneurs

The largest and most important annual trade show in the world for franchising, the International Franchise Expo, will take place in New York, June 20 – 22, 2013. The U.S. Embassy is promoting the Franchise Expo and is actively recruiting a Maltese delegation to attend. The expo will feature over 400 franchise exhibitors, with investments ranging from $5,000 to over $1 million.

Clarifications, extended deadline for registration of PV suppliers

Malta Enterprise would like to notify that the deadline for suppliers of PV systems to register with the Corporation in view of the upcoming ERDF Solar Energy scheme has been extended to June 14th, 2013 at 14:00h.

PV suppliers invited to register for new ERDF scheme

Malta Enterprise is establishing a list of suppliers of photovoltaic systems that may be eligible for part-financing through a new scheme aimed at helping local enterprises invest in solar energy. This scheme is due to be launched in the coming weeks.

Through this ERDF Solar Energy scheme, which is co-financed through the European Regional Development Fund, eligible enterprises may receive a grant to part-finance the installation of PV systems. This would help them generate energy from renewable energy sources and reduce their dependency on fossil fuels.

B2B event brings businesses together

Almost 150 companies and organisations from 13 different countries were brought together to discuss business opportunities during the Unlocking the Potential B2B event organised by the Enterprise Europe Network office within Malta Enterprise.

Spread over a span of two days between April 17th and 18th, the brokerage event was the ideal platform for entrepreneurs who were seeking to establish business contacts with whom they could then develop some form of partnership or business collaboration.

ICT-PSP call for proposals open

The European Commission has launched the call for proposals for projects to be assisted through the Information and Communication Technologies Policy Support Programme (ICT-PSP) within the framework of the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP), for which Malta Enterprise is the National Contact Point.

The ICT-PSP seeks to encourage and facilitate a wider uptake and better use of ICT by citizens, as well as the public and private sectors with the aim of stimulating innovation and competitiveness throughout the European Union.
