As part of its efforts to promote ever closer links between culture and entrepreneurship, Malta Enterprise is hosting a painting exhibition in the foyer at its offices in Gwardamangia.Six renowned Maltese artists are exhibiting a sample of their works in what promises to be the first of a series of exhibitions to be held at the offices of Malta Enterprise. In total, 26 paintings are on exhibition.The participating artists are Kenneth Zammit Tabona, Anna Galea, Stephanie Borg, Andrew Micallef, Joseph Casapinta and David Schembri.

Malta Enterprise has extended the deadline for the submission of applications for its export programmes, namely the Go Global Programme and the Global Growth Competition, until Wednesday, 15 April 2015.The Go Global Programme focuses on those companies that are new to export or whose export revenue is less than 20%, while the Global Growth Competition is aimed at established exporters and involves a selection process which will take the form of a competition.More details on both programmes may be viewed through www.maltaenterprise.com/export

The Government of Malta and Malta Enterprise have signed an agreement with the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry which will pave the way for a €200 million investment in the country’s healthcare infrastructure and create 1,200 new healthcare related jobs in Malta and Gozo.Barts is one of Britain’s leading medical and dental schools with 1,600 undergraduate and 750 postgraduate students. It has a reputation for impressive research across many disciplines.

Trade Malta, a public private partnership between Malta Enterprise and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, has been launched and will be solely responsible for the promotion of trade and internationalisation of Maltese businesses.Through Projects Malta, the Government will own 51%, with the remaining 49% belonging to the Chamber. This will enable the new entity to reach a broader spectrum of locally based businesses wishing to make the most of wider possibilities overseas.

Malta Enterprise is looking for partners to work on a project aimed at increasing awareness about industry and entreprenership in schools through the creation of an educational app for tablets and/or other devices.The Call is open for any organization - particularly those involved in education, business support, institutions as well as private enterprise - until March 6th, 2015 at 12:00h CET.Partners should be based in ERASMUS+ Programme Countries, particularly regions which already provide or are in the process of including entrepreneurship courses in their schools.

Malta Enterprise is organising a business delegation to the Sultanate of Oman towards the end of April, 2015 to promote investment and enhance industrial collaboration between the two countries in various sectors. The business delegation will be led by the Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business, Hon.
