ME hosts Additive Manufacturing seminar

Malta Enterprise hosted a seminar on additive manufacturing, more commonly known as 3D printing, which is one of the fastest growing industries in recent years as more and more industries are realising its full potential.Stakeholders mostly from the local manufacturing industry were shown the various benefits of 3D printing and its applications within industry.

Joint venture to develop energy trading hub

A joint venture has been formed between Malta Enterprise and the Singapore company International Energy Group (IEG) with the aim of developing Malta into a trading hub for energy products between Europe and Asia.Malta Enterprise will have a minority shareholding in the company in Malta.Earlier this year, Malta Enterprise signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the consortium of private Singapore entrepreneurs that now own IEG.IEG has been set up recently for the purpose of acquiring business from other companies on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

Malta places 2nd in Quality of FDI

Malta was ranked in second place worldwide for the quality of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) that it attracts by the authoritative IBM Global Location Trends Report (2014), which takes into account the FDI projects approved during 2013. The IBM Global Location Trends Report measures FDI success on different tracks, including the type of investment projects and their value to the economy. IBM claims that this type of evaluation of FDI investments is “an increasingly important metric for gauging inward investment performance”.

Photo Competition winner announced
